New Elements Added To pH Advantage’s Website During Its Redesign - August 12, 2008

Blue Water Media recently redesigned pH Advantage’s website, www.pHAdvantage.com, adding new elements, including a custom content management system and the Skin Interactive section, which includes "Skin-Pedia".

Joomla!, an open-source content management system, has been implemented to the website to allow content updates to the site by those who don’t have html or web design experience. The pH Advantage staff can make updates to certain sections of their website easily and immediately publish those changes to the live site. Joomla! also maintains the design, navigation and content features of the site while delivering new tools and resources.

The content management system comes in handy for pH Advantage, especially when making updates to their "Skin-Pedia", located in the website’s new Skin Interactive section. Skin-Pedia is pH Advantage’s answer to Wiki-Pedia, where visitors can find definitions on hundreds of terms related to skin care. This skin care encyclopedia contains information ranging from ingredient explanations to serious skin care diseases to treatment options that helps to maintain healthy skin. Registrants to the website can also add information to the Skin-Pedia if they feel important information regarding a term is missing.

Other items added to the Skin Interactive section of the site includes the pH Advantage Blog and Message Board, where visitors can interact directly with Dr. Barry Cohen, M.D., the founder of pH Advantage. A Free Skincare Analysis has also been added to the Skin Interactive section. Visitors can take advantage of this analysis by filling out the questionnaire, and upon submitting, receive recommendations of skin care regimens based on the answers provided.
